Health and Safety Policy
- The Company regards the management of health and safety as an integral part of its business and as a management priority.
- It is our policy that all activities will be carried out in a safe manner and we will establish and evaluate, as appropriate, processes and practices to ensure the health, safety and welfare of our employees and of others who may be affected by our activities.
- The hazards associated with our business activities will be identified and mitigated through formal assessment and will be reduced where reasonably practicable.
- The Company will comply with current health and safety legislation, as a minimum, seeking to establish policies and procedures that enable the Company and its employees to meet this commitment and will work to establish and apply best practice to all its activities where this is practicable.
- Employees are expected and encouraged to be proactive on health and safety issues. All employees, contractors and sub-contractors are required to co-operate with the Company and their colleagues in implementing the policy and shall ensure that their own work is without risk to themselves or others as far as is reasonably practicable.
Environmental Policy
- The Company aims for continual improvement of the environmental management system through employee training, consultation and involvement in identifying environmental impacts; encouraging management commitment; performing regular reviews and conducting internal audits of the environmental management system.
- Analysis is undertaken of the organisation’s significant environmental impacts, including where these involve potential risk of pollution, through a formal assessment process and using these assessments as guidance in setting objectives and targets.
- The Company is committed to co-operation with the applicable local authority and site landlords on relevant environmental issues and due consideration of any environmental complaints relating to CSR sites or operations.
- The Company is committed to compliance with environmental legislation applicable to CSR’s products and operations and maintains a register which identifies applicable environmental legislation and relevant guidance on how to meet these requirements.
- The Company gives due consideration to environmental issues raised by customers and seeks to respond positively to customer-led environmental initiatives.
- The Company works closely with those involved in the manufacturing supply chain, in order to achieve best practice in the environmental aspects of material sourcing, product manufacture, disposal and recycling.
CORPORATE HEALTH POLICY
The Management of MKC ensures that every employee or subcontractors are committed to the planning and execution of all operations to eliminate personal injury. There are minimum Health Management Standards (MHMS) that all employees and our subcontractors shall comply with before deployment to site for any operation.
The following are the aims of the health policy:
- All employees undergo pre-employment medical examination.
- Pursue the goal of ‘No-Harm Target’.
- Elimination of the illicit use of legal drugs or the use, possession, distribution or sale of illegal drugs at company or work locations.
- Protect the working environment from contamination.
- Ensure daily cleaning of the surroundings.
- Elimination of self medication.
SAFETY POLICY
It is
MKC policy to carry out its activities in such a manner that no fatality or serious injury or damage to property arises there from. Throughout the execution of our operations, we shall comply with all Government Legislations. No part of our operations is so important or of such high priority that it cannot be performed with safe, efficient work methods and equipment.
'MKC' safety objectives are simply:
- Zero Fatalities.
- Protect and maintain equipment to achieve LTI free operations.
- To show leadership in the field of Safety management.
- Play a leading role in promoting best practice in the industry.
- Maintain cordial relationship with host communities.
To achieve these objectives:
- Compliance with company’s safety rules and regulations governing right driving.
- Conduct a comprehensive risk assessment of all our operations.
- Training and retraining of staff.
- Provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPEs).
- Any work being done must be suspended if the employee believes that it cannot be carried out in accordance with HSE policy.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION POLICY
Environment awareness is growing steadily by leaps and bounds so also are litigations that arise from them. Environmental incidents of a large magnitude know no bounds and can therefore affect people, bodies of water and Eco-system. It is therefore Management intention to critically review the environmental impacts of any operation before actual work is carried out. This will enable the consequences to be fully understood and controlled. To this end, all wastes are to be identified according to their nature and degree of harm to the environment. Any materials having dangerous environmental consequences are eliminated where practicable or substituted. Wastes are to be minimized and segregated at source and stored in the appropriate waste bin with the standard colour codes. To this end, this policy shall encompass the following:
- Improve compliance with regulations.
- Keep its work force, clients and contractors and the inhabitants in its immediate operational environment adequately informed of known potential hazards that may affect and make them aware of what is being done or should be done to:
- Minimize Risk
- Preserve the working environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES
MKC has good Environment policy. The company is committed to ensuring clean and healthy environment, especially in the course of our operations. It is our policy that our working environment should be safeguarded from all forms of environmental hazards like pollution and other actions of the workers capable of tampering with the ecosystems.
Hence, it is our duty not only to maintain a clean, safe, healthy and hazards free environment, but also we shall ensure that:
- No damage is done to the environment.
- All work locations/sites are reinstated to their original form before final demobilization.
- We discourage every activity capable of tampering with the environment.
- All wastes are disposed of by conventional methods.
- Areas of environmental hazards be sealed, cordoned off and protected for the safety of the workers and those that might be affected.
- Ensures compliance with environmental legislations and standards.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY STATEMENT.
It is the company’s policy to ensure that employees and business associates are aware of the dangers inherent in the abuse of drugs and alcohol. consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited in All times, All locations, All employees, In company premises, Hostels, Camps, Remote working and living locations at sites and projects.
- Ban the use, sale or distribution of drugs in the company premises, projects.
The management of
MKC therefore encourages all staff/third party to desist from any drug/acts capable of destroying him and the company.
Any observation of such uses will lead to immediate termination & will be reported to the authorities.
Quality Policy
The Management of
MKC amongst other policies holds quality with high esteem and shall ensure that our services are rendered in line with acceptable standards and in compliance with client’s requirements. All collected field samples shall be kept in such a way that their original conditions and constituents are not tampered with.
The Objectives of this policy are:
